Ultra Gro has a long history with peppers. Ranging from Kern County to the Coastal growing regions we have a proven track record of success. In 2009, Scroggs Consulting conducted a third-party pepper trial which showed increased quality and better shipability. In addition to our fertility programs, pepper growers have come to rely on the UG Crop Shield product to help protect against sunburn.
SAMPLE PROGRAM for PEPPERS
At Planting:
(per acre) 4 Gallons 8-16-8 Plus or (2-17-17 Plus*) (applied in transplant water)
After Planting:
(per acre) 1 Gallon 6-0-0-8 Soil Treatment (applied thru drip tape)
(1.5 Gallon 6-0-0-8 Soil Treatment may be broadcast prior to planting in lieu of this step) 50 Units of Nitrogen (either UN32 or CAN 17)
30 Days After Planting:
(per acre) 3 Gallons 8-16-8 Plus or (2-17-17 Plus*) (applied thru drip tape)
45 Days After Planting:
(per acre) 2 Gallons 6-0-0-9 Calcium Complex (applied thru drip tape)
50 Units of Nitrogen (either UN32 or CAN 17)
60 Days After Planting:
(per acre) 3 Gallons 8-16-8 Plus or (2-17-17 Plus*) (applied thru drip tape)
50 Units of Nitrogen (either UN32 or CAN 17)
20 to 30 Days Prior To Harvest:
(per acre) For size and quality.
3 Gallons of 2-17-17 Plus (applied thru drip tape)
Prevent Sunburn and Moisture Loss.
1 Gallon 3-4.5-2 Crop Shield (foliar application)
- Recommendations will vary according to Soil Analysis.
